What is True South? It is a sisterhood of the Mississippi America program. Contestants of all ages will compete in their respective divisions alongside the Mississippi America contestants. They participate in many of the same activities the weekend of the Mississippi America contestants, and queens go on to share many of the same appearances and events as their sister queens throughout their reign. We encourage mothers and daughters to join in the fun as well as all others who love Mississippi, have a genuine heart of service, and embody the hospitality and charm of the True South.
