Dr. Tiffany Jefferson

Dr. Tiffany Jefferson, Mrs. Mississippi American, is married to her husband, Joe. She is the mother of 3, Jordan (Rhodes Scholar Finalist, Harvard Kennedy School graduate student) and Jones and Kennedy, scholar-athletes and artists. Tiffany Jefferson is a dancer, choreographer, director, educator, producer, and screenplay writer. She is the Hinds Community College Dance Director. She is most notably known for being the founder and Artistic Director of the Internationally renowned dance company of 20 years, Montage Theatre of Dance. Her dance company, Montage Theatre of Dance, has produced numerous professional dancers who have performed and toured with Cirque du Soleil, Alvin, Ailey American Dance Theater, Super Bowl Halftime performance, the Apollo Theatre in NYC, the Grammy Awards and attended Harvard University. Montage that has performed on world-class stages such as the Kennedy Center, the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, the Grand Ole Opry, and Carnegie Hall.

Dr. Jefferson has her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Jackson State University. She obtained her master's degree in dance education from Wichita State University. She received her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University, where she was the 1996 Miss Black Oklahoma and an All-American collegiate cheerleader. Mrs. Jefferson has received numerous choreography awards from various dance governing bodies. Tiffany Jefferson is the Dell Keiffner, Carnegie Hall director of the year, the City with Soul honoree, Hinds Hero, the Mississippi Humanities Teacher of Year Recipient, and the Hinds Community College Life Star Award Recipient. Jefferson is one of the lead instructors of Dance Works Studio in Clinton, MS, and the dance minister director at New Jerusalem Church and Anderson United Methodist Church.
